R + D + i
Alea! Centre Tecnològic de la Vida Animal (Animal Life Technologic Centre) is a Project aligned to SGP Grup investment for the transfer of knoweledge and the innovation, both applied to three grand axis: GENETICS, TRACEABILITY and BIOSECURITY.
The creation of this technological space will permit the already started projects to be continued in the best possible conditions. Moreoever it will generate new projects as well.
Current projects:
- Traceability and genetic evaluation to improve the pig products quality.
CDTI project (Centre for the Industrial Technologic Development), which is carried out together with IRTA (Agri-food Research and Technology Institute) and the Veterinarian Faculty of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Autonomous University of Barcelona).
- Genomic Research of different genetic lines dependent on reproductive parameters for pigs.
Eureka Project – CDTI which is bieng done together with IRTA (Agri-food Research and Technology Institute) and the Veterinarian Faculty of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Autonomous University of Barcelona), the German Association SHZ and the University of Hannover.
According to new projects, a proposal and a selection process have been carried out. This selection process has been based on the UNE 166.002 management rule of R+D+i. The final result has been the selection of a new project CDTI and a small projects portfolio to be developed in a short period of time. It is specially importnat to count with a series of short term projects since one of the Alea! objectives is to establish a frequent contact to the farmer and the vet, so as the latest gets the necessary and valuable information for their daily tasks.
Alea! project was awarded “Advanced Company” from “Premis Innovacat” that Grup Bon Preu, Fundició Dúctil Bentio, Girbau, Ajuntament de Manlleu promotes.
Alea! has become finalist for the Premis a la Innovació Tecnològica Agrària (Food Technological Innovation Awards) announced by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
